At Little Paws N Claws Cattery & Small Animal Boarding, we're committed to doing our part towards a cleaner, more environmentally-friendly planet. To reduce our carbon footprint, we have implemented a number of significant projects to create our more eco-friendly Cattery.

• We have Solar panels to harness the sun's energy which helps power the webcams, heating, lighting, air-conditioners, washing machine and fridge. We are more efficient, environmentally responsible, and less dependent on the national grid for electricity in the summer. 

• We capture and make use of up to 3000 litre's of rainwater storage for day-to-day use around the Cattery grounds.

• We use an environmentally friendly cat litter “Breeder Celect”. Made in the UK from re-cycled newspaper, using a patented chemical and additive free process.
  Breeder Celect offers excellent odour control and is 99% Dust free. We love it and so do many of our customers, it is very economical when used correctly.  It's also available to purchase from the Cattery in 20 & 30 litre bags.

• Our Mitsubishi Air-Conditioner units are High Seasonal Efficiency A+ Rated. Using the newest R32 next generation refrigerant that boasts nearly 70% lower Global Warming Potential Rate than previous refrigerants. Due to its superior qualities R32 offers amazing energy efficiency benefits. It has a potential refrigerating effect 1.5 times that of previous refrigerants meaning it needs less energy to achieve the desired temperature and requires less refrigerant volume to operate.

• All the Cattery waste including Cat food packaging is collected weekly and recycled by a specialist waste management company.

• And finally we use biodegradable poo bags!
